Avani opens its first resort in Seychelles as island Tourism Minister announces official hotel classification is coming

download (5)Avani Hotels and the Minor Group have opened their first property in the Seychelles. Following a year-long reconstruction program costing some US$8 million, the former Le Meridien Barbarons has reopened as the new Avani Seychelles Barbarons Resort&Spa. The relaunch was presided over by none other than the Seychelles Vice President, Danny Faure, and also present was the Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St. Ange, with key members of his team, including the Seychelles Tourism Board CEO, Sherin Naiken, and PS for Tourism Anne Lafortune.
