China’s tourism market rose to 4.69 trillion Yuan last year


chinaIn 2016, domestic tourism revenue in China increased to 13.6% to 4.69 trillion Yuan ($680 billion). It was confirmed by the People’s Daily citing an information released at a national tourism conference in Hunan province of Central China. According to the WTO’s estimates, tourism accounted for 11% of China’s GDP in 2016. Last year, domestic tourists made 4.44 billion trips, which was up by 11% year-on-year.
