The government of West Bengal has announced a slew of projects in partnership with private investors with the aim of transforming tourism in the Sunderbans, a UNESCO World heritage site.
The chief minister inaugurated the most ambitious of these projects the ‘Byaghro Sundari’ which aims to set up the world’s first mangrove zoo, spread over 100 acres, at Jharkhali.
