Almost 3,000 artists from 47 nations will take part in this year’s Edinburgh International Festival in August. Actors, dancers and musicians from Russia, Brazil, Japan, America, Chile, France, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Australia, India, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Israel, Italy, Norway, Spain, South Africa, Venezuela, Scotland and the rest of the UK will perform theatre, dance, opera and music to audiences from approximately a third of the world’s nations. The festival also hosts a series of visual art exhibitions, talks and workshops.
