Dubai greeted 2012 with incredible and dazzling display of fireworks

That was a speculator sight to witness! Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building wrapped itself with a breathtaking display of fireworks that enthralled the world, which was telecasted live to over 2 billion homes globally.

The centerpiece of Downtown Dubai, Burj Khalifa was fully illuminated in shimmering white, red and green hues, drawing on the colours of the UAE national flag, through the fireworks display.This celebration was also a salute to the nation, which celebrated its 40th National Day, on December 2, 2011.

Mr. Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director, Emaar Properties, remarked: "The New Year's Celebrations 2012 is our tribute to the cosmopolitan spirit of Dubai. The spectacle has reiterated this city's position as one of the most sought-after destinations for New Year's celebrations."
