Canada approves Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP)


Jim Carr, the Canadian minister for international trade diversification, approved the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) on December 30, making Canada the first of the countries to approve the agreement, which includes Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore and Vietnam.
