Uganda Tourism Board says that hosting world athletics event fetched them $4 million

The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) said that it earned around $4 million by hosting the World Cross Country Athletics Championships held during the weekend. Stephen Asiimwe, the CEO of the UTB said that Uganda hosted over 2,500 people and their expenses is anticipated to have reached $4 million (sh14 billion) over the last 5 days.
