Tourism grows steadily in Cleveland County

Cleveland County flagCleveland County has seen tourism spending surge to an all-time high last year, a pattern that repeated itself across most of North Carolina, as vacationers and sightseers spent more than $21 billion, up 5.5 percent from the year before.
Cleveland County Vice President of Tourism Jackie Sibley-Newton attributes the increase to the Earl Scruggs Center and Don Gibson Theatre in addition to the large sporting events held each year in Cleveland County.
