In
order to display the cultural heritage of Assam and uphold it as
tourist destination, a cultural trust in collaboration with tourism
ministry is going to organize a three-day-long festival, Rongali, in
Guwahati from April 3.
Shyam Kanu Mahanta, the organiser of the event, he is also heads the Guwahati-based cultural trust MMS Trends, said, “Rongali will exhibit the wide tapestry of ethnic traditional lifestyles, heritages and food habits of various tribes in Assam.”
