An incident occurred at 7:30 a.m. today resulting in a CargoJet B757-200 aircraft colliding with the General Service Building, located on the Torbay Road side of the airport. The building has been evacuated for safety reasons while the incident and the damage are being investigated.There were two crew members on board the aircraft and no injuries were sustained by those on board the aircraft or in the building.
The St. John’s International Airport Authority’s Emergency Response team is on site, and the
Transportation Safety Board and the RNC have been notified.
