No fireworks or Chinese lanterns in Mossel Bay

Fireworks are spectacular and Chinese lanterns are romantic – but without a permit, you’re not allowed to set them off in Mossel Bay.

“With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, we’d like to remind everyone that fireworks and Chinese lanterns are banned both because of the fire risk, and because of the threat they pose to wildlife on shore and at sea,” said Mossel Bay’s Municipal Manager, Michele Gratz.
