The Hugh L. Carey (formerly Brooklyn-Battery) Tunnel will be closed Sunday, Sept., 28 between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the annual Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Run, commemorating the FDNY firefighter’s run through the tunnel to the World Trade Center on 9/11.Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
