in Australia set light to the torch when the city switched off
electricity at 07.30 pm local time on March 31st, 2007 as an initiative
to tackle climate change. “The Big Flick” as it was initially called,
was an initiation ignited in 2004, and developed into a concept in 2006,
by Andy Ridley from World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and Leo Burnett – a
Sydney based global advertising company, backed by Fairfax Media and
Sydney Mayor, Clover Moore.
