Today,
the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee
(ENVI) of the European Parliament (EP) adopted its report on the
proposal of the European Commission to amend the scope of the aviation
ETS. The Association of European Airlines (AEA) is disappointed that ‐
unlike the EP’s Transport and Tourism Committee (TRAN) and Industry,
Research and Energy Committee ‐ ENVI has ignored the global agreement
reached at the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s
