Guarded sanction to beauty pageants from Muslim womenThe world’s beauties are having fun in Bali, though undergoing intense competition, continuously being watched and graded, ahead of the finals of Miss World slated for Saturday evening. Earlier on September 18, Obabiyi Aisyah Ajibola, a 21-year-old from Nigeria, prostrated when she was declared Miss World Muslimah 2013 in Jakarta. It was the first time in its three years that the Jakarta-based private World Muslimah Foundation involved foreign participants, and the 20 finalists included women from Iran, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia and Bangladesh.
