An Alitalia aircraft makes emergency landing at Rome’s Fiuminco airport


emergency-landing1An Alitalia aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at Rome’s Fiuminco airport on Sunday night. No casualties among the 151 passengers or crew have been reported. The pilot was forced to make an emergency landing due to functional failure of the gear. The airport’s operations room said the Airbus 320 landed on the tarmac Sunday night leaning on a wing and its tail after the right-side landing gear didn’t work. The airport said the pilot reported problems opening the undercarriage and made an emergency landing.
