The Galungan festival is the most important festival in Bali. It takes place throughout the island and is an annual event in the wuku year. It lasts for ten days when it is believed that all the gods, including the supreme deity Sanghyang Widi, come down to earth for the festivities. Kuningan is the last and most important day of the festival.
