International visitor arrivals figures released confirm an increase of 5.4 per cent year-on-year with a total of 2.64 million visitors arriving for the year-ending June 2012. "While June 2011 results were down due to natural disasters, namely the ash cloud from Chile's Puyehue-Cordon Caulle volcano, it is very positive to see arrivals growing," says Tourism New Zealand Chief Executive, Kevin Bowler.
