Tourism Queensland: 250 million people to see Great Barrier Reef

Destination NewsAustralians will be among almost 250 million people around the globe who are expected to watch one of the most dramatic underwater documentaries ever produced; BBC Earth’s Great Barrier Reef.

Crafted from more than 1500 hours of footage filmed over eight years by an Australian crew, BBC Earth’s Great Barrier Reef three-part series will premiere in Australia on the Nine Network on March 11 with episodes two and three airing over consecutive Sunday evenings.

The stunning TV series, presented by Karl Stefanovic, offers a fresh perspective on Queensland’s greatest natural asset, from the wilder outer reefs of the Coral Sea to the tangled mangroves and steaming rainforests and shorelines.
