The Seychelles Tourism Board has confirmed that the first Chinese delegation participating in the 2012 Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands Carnival hosted by Seychelles and La Reunion had arrived in Seychelles and were met at the airport by Marymonde Matatiken, the Manager of Celebrate Seychelles Events Department of the Tourism Board.Both Seychelles and La Reunion are working on opening up the Chinese tourism market for their respective islands and this large Chinese delegation at their carnival will give the Seychelles Tourism Board and the IRT (Ile Reunion Tourisme) the opportunity to strengthen their contacts. Chinese Press are set to land in Seychelles in the next couple of days to be in time for the official opening of the carnival on Friday afternoon.
