Madinat Jumeirah, part of Jumeirah Group was proud to host the 7th Hotelier Middle East awards ceremony in the Al Johara Ballroom which was attended by over 600 guests representing hotel companies from Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Yemen and of course, the UAE.The Hotelier Middle East Awards celebrates excellence in all areas of the hotel industry, including “the back of house”, “the front line”, “culinary stars”, “general managers” and “Hotelier’s Unsung Hero”.
Robert Kunkler (Madinat Jumeirah) was named ‘General Manager of the Year’ while Mohammed Kapital (Jumeirah Group) was recognised as ‘Procurement Person of the Year’ and Ayeda Al Hamoor (Jumeirah Zabeel Saray) won the ‘HR Person of the Year’ award. A special mention also goes to Sean Harrison and Maurice Fitzgerald who were Highly Commended for their outstanding efforts in their respective award categories.
