In 2023, the tourism industry of New York City constantly bolsters the state and city economy, producing around $74 billion in economic impact with over $48 billion coming from direct spending. This movement supported more than 380,000 hospitality and leisure sector jobs, approximately 9% of the workforce of the city and thousands of businesses that are small and minority-owned across all five boroughs.
