India’s travel and hospitality industry has been on a roller-coaster ride since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic early in 2020. In an effort to contain the spread of the new variant, the Central government announces a series of curbs, including quarantine for a week, for international tourists arriving from ‘at-risk’ countries.
