The famous herd of Chinese elephants that have been an attraction to people across the globe had finally appeared to make their way homewards. For over a year, they have journeyed into urbanized China, raided farms and made a retirement home for food. From keeping close watch over the elephants by deploying drones, workers and trucks, to evacuating roads and using food to steer them away from the populated areas, the locals left no stone unturned to ensure safety to the elephants. Despite their intrusion into villages close to Yunnan, the provincial capital of Kunming, no animals have been reported to have been injured.
