The weekend rush to tourist destinations in Jaipur hides more than it reveals. According to industry sources, 30% of the heritage hotels are still closed or are operatingwithlittle capacity. For hundreds of unbranded hotels in Jaipur, they are yet to see light at the end of the tunnel. While the big star hotels are witnessing 50-60% occupancy, the footfall is dramatically less on weekdays. Although many Covid restrictions have been removed, more needs to be done away with.
