As a part of the plan of the central government of India to place Ayodhya on the world map of tourism, the Ministry of Railways has plans for a multi-crore Bullet train project that would connect the city to New Delhi. Recent reports have disclosed that the Railway Ministry’s National High-Speed Rail Corporation (NHSRC) has applied for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Airport Authority of India (AAI) to kick-start this project. This bullet train will connect New Delhi to three well-known pilgrimage areas in Varanasi, Prayagraj and Ayodhya.
