To end isolation, Tibetans are moving towards tourism


Though dwarfed a bit by the huge public square and four-lane expressway running beside it, the magnificent Potala Palace, an erstwhile abode of exiled Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama – is currently a museum attracting 5,000 tourists every day — still exudes an aura of mystique and exoticism.
