Passengers in North East urged to check before they travel as work takes place to the railway

Network Rail engineers will be working round the clock to carry out work to Standedge Aqueduct in Marsden, which includes dismantling the bridge deck of the Grade II listed aqueduct and installing a temporary structure. A new bridge deck will be installed at a later date.
