Mong Cai City is one of the province’s four tourism hubs. It lured 1.6 million arrivals in 2016, and earned 1.1 trillion VND (48.4 million USD), up 52 percent and 47 percent from 2015, respectively.
In 2016, Mong Cai introduced several new tourism products, such as city tours on electric cars, cross-border tours and community-based tours to the border islands of Vinh Trung and Vinh Thuc.
