The aviation industry in India received almost 10 crore domestic flyers in the year 2016, where the month of December received most of the rush.
Figures showed that in 2016, around 9.9 crore domestic passengers flew across the country, where in 2015 the number was 8.1 crore. In the month of December, around 95.5 lakh domestic air passengers opted for air-travel in comparison to the 77.1 lakh passengers in 2015.
