MTA Long Island Rail Road customers traveling on the Ronkonkoma, Babylon, Montauk, Far Rockaway and West Hempstead branches over the weekend of Saturday, September 17, and Sunday, September 18, are advised to plan ahead and should allow extra travel time as the LIRR replaces switches in Bethpage that are used to switch trains from one track to another. Starting at 11:45 p.m. on Friday, September 16, one of two tracks between Hicksville and Farmingdale will be taken out of service to accommodate the weekend work.Continue Reading...
