Positive results relating to collective accommodation in the first eight months of the year- January to August 2015

The collective accommodation statistics for August 2015 published today by the National Statistics Office show a total of 174,958 tourist arrivals in hotels and similar establishments, an increase of 0.6% over August 2014. The percentage increase in nights spent was higher at 1.7% due to a slightly longer average length of stay when compared to same month last year. The average length of stay for August 2015 was 6.5 nights as opposed to 6.4 nights in August 2014.
