Mexico’s tourism activity rose by 3.50 percent in the first quarter, compared to the same period in 2014, thanks to foreign tourist arrivals, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography, or INEGI, said.
Spending by foreign and domestic tourists rose 2.5 percent in the January-March period, compared to the same period last year, the statistics agency said in a statement.
