Overnight Track Work Will Impact Train Service between Hicksville & Syosset over the Weekend of December 13-14

Progress made on an overnight track project between Hicksville and Syosset – originally expected to impact train service over a total of four weekends – will be completed in half the time. Only one more weekend will be needed to finish the job and that work has been scheduled for Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14. As a result, there will be reduced service on the Port Jefferson Branch with eight trains running on adjusted schedules between 12:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. each day.
