6.7 magnitude earthquake rattles Canada’s Vancouver Island

Canada's Vancouver Island EarthquakeA 6.7 magnitude earthquake rattled Canada’s Vancouver Island on Wednesday night. The quake rocked the region around 8:10 p.m. and was located about 58 miles southwest of Port Hardy in British Columbia, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake’s epicenter was about 94 km south of Port Hardy and 157 km west of Campbell River, according to the USGS, and it occurred at a depth of 11.4 km.
