Finger Lakes Regional PR Program Wins Gold at the 2011 Adrian Awards

Out of 1000 entries, the Finger Lakes Regional 2010-2011 PR Program received international acclaim with a 2011 Gold Adrian Award from the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI). In addition, the Wayne County Apple Tasting Tour campaign and the Mount Morris feature in the NY Times - both components of the overall program — earned Silver Adrian Awards. The prestigious awards program recognizes top advertising, public relations and digital marketing campaigns from across the hospitality industry.

Tioga County, along with 13 other counties in the Finger Lakes are part of this regional PR program that is now entering its third year. In 2010, the region hired Quinn & Co., a top PR firm headquartered in Manhattan, to help gain national attention for the vacation region.  The program has resulted in a gain of over 800 million impressions in top-tier national media outlets over the last two years, and is already seeing its share of success this year with placements appearing in New York Magazine, AAA Horizons, Fodors.com and MSNBC.com.
