Ryanair called on the UK Govt to scrap APD as CAA traffic statistics show that traffic at the UK’s regional airports has collapsed by 14% since 2008, with the loss of over 14m passengers annually, while traffic at the main London airports over the same period fell by just 2%. During this period Ryanair has grown its traffic by 33% by lowering fares and working with Govts (in Spain, Holland and Belgium) who have axed similar tourist taxes in order to stimulate tourism and jobs growth.Continue Reading...
