The Port of Los Angeles has received gold-level certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) rating system for its new Los Angeles Port Police Headquarters building. “Our new Los Angeles Port Police Headquarters is yet another example of the sustainability efforts in place at the Port of Los Angeles,” said Executive. Director Geraldine Knatz, Ph.D. “We’re proud that this is the first LEED™-registered gold status building not only at the Port but in San Pedro.”
