Candlewood Suites, IHG’s midscale extended stay brand, announced that it will rejoin Kalitta Motorsports in a two-year sponsorship as a major associate and primary sponsor for the team in the 2012 NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series. Kalitta Motorsports is one of the most accomplished teams in the history of NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) Professional Drag Racing. “Last season was Candlewood Suites very first sponsorship. Kalitta Motorsports is a fantastic partner and we have been so pleased with the results, the brand has decided to extend the sponsorship another two years,” said Del Ross, vice president, Americas Sales & Marketing, IHG. “This sponsorship drives business into IHG properties and delivers terrific awareness of the Candlewood Suites brand, which is perfect since many of their current guests are already racing fans.”
