ACI Asia-Pacific Announces Results of Green Airports Recognition

ACI Asia-Pacific announced the results of the Green Airports Recognition where airports are recognized for their environmental achievements. The  Green Airports Recognition is a new initiative of ACI Asia-Pacific  with the objective to promote environmental best practices to minimize aviation’s impact on the environment as well as to recognize ACI Asia-Pacific airports members for their outstanding accomplishments in their environmental projects.

The submissions were reviewed by a panel of 5 judges. One of the judges, Ms. Elizabeth Leavitt, Chair of the ACI World Environment Standing Committee said, “The submissions were all very well done and reflected the airport's role in the community as well as the environmental challenges unique to each airport's community.  The submissions showed how airports are working in their communities to address environmental issues of concern.  An airport can be green for the environment and save money too!”
