Air India clarifies on Pilots issue


Air India LtdAir India spokeperson sharply reactingto the story published in Times Of India stated that in Sept 2013 a new CAR was issued by DGCA which required Pilot Proficiency Checks to be carried out twice a year ie at six monthly intervals. The earlier CAR also has a similar provision the only difference being the first proficiency could be carried out within the first eight months and the second in the next four months. This change in Sept 2013 would have required us to renew nearly 800 licenses overnight which was not possible.
