The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) announced that it has secured accreditation in International Organization of Standardization (ISO) 9001 - Quality Management System and ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System. The implementation of these ISO standards throughout The CCD will help to maintain delivery efficiencies and ensure continual improvement. To retain ISO certification, The CCD will be audited on a regular basis.“Since the construction phase, we have been extremely focused on creating and operating a sustainable and efficient business,” said Nick Waight, CEO, The Convention Centre Dublin. “Our ISO accreditation solidifies our commitment to this long-term strategy and we are delighted that we managed to achieve certification just 14 months after opening. This is only the beginning of our ISO journey and we’ll keep reviewing our systems to ensure they are operating at optimum efficiencies, which should help us to achieve our goal to be the best conference centre in Europe by 2014.”
