During World Cup 2018, overseas tourists in Russia to burn up almost $2bn

Russia will receive a major boost up due to increased tourist inflow during the FIFA World Cup. To quote the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, “According to our estimates, foreigners will spend over 100 billion rubles ($1.6 billion) during the World Cup in Russia,” Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin told Sovetsky Sport newspaper.
